The Alumni Affairs Department at the Deanship of Admissions and Registration is pleased to extend its congratulations on your expected graduation in the 2019/2020 academic year.

We are also pleased to provide the following information to help you explore available opportunities if you are interested in pursuing a Master's or Doctorate degree in your field of study. We wish you continued progress and success.

General Guidelines:

  1. If you wish to pursue a Master's degree at your own expense or through a scholarship, you must contact accredited universities directly to obtain admission according to their specific acceptance criteria and provide proof of admission to the scholarship authority.
  2. Passing the TOEFL or IELTS exam is a prerequisite for all available postgraduate opportunities, with a minimum passing score of 500.

Additionally:

  • You must pass the GMAT exam for scientific specializations according to university requirements.
  • Financial guarantees are required if you plan to study at your own expense (requirements vary by university).
  • University acceptance is a prerequisite before applying for a scholarship.
  • The above-mentioned entities publish announcements at specific times on the same website or in daily newspapers.
  • The overall GPA must not be less than 2.67, and the specialization GPA must not be less than 3.00.

General Conditions (Alumni Affairs and Cultural Relations Administration):

  1. When submitting an application, you must have unconditional academic admission for postgraduate studies from a university accredited by Kuwait University.
  2. The applicant must have obtained their qualifications from Kuwait University or a university accredited by Kuwait University.
  3. The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent, in the Bachelor's degree.
  4. The application must include transcripts from all universities and institutes attended.
  5. The applicant must have obtained their qualification with full-time study and residency in the country of study.
  6. An essay must be submitted with the application, detailing the applicant's academic and professional experiences, significant achievements, research and career goals, and how they intend to achieve them.
  7. The applicant must be under 30 years of age at the time of application.
  8. The applicant must have a good reputation and character, with no criminal or dishonorable record, and must meet medical fitness requirements.
  9. All required documents must be submitted, and the initial submission of the application does not imply meeting all requirements.
  10. Each faculty may set additional specific conditions in addition to the general conditions listed above.
  11. Priority will be given to applicants holding a Master's degree in the required specialization.

The application and required documents should be submitted to the Cultural Relations Administration on the Khaldiya campus according to the announcement date.


Admission Requirements for the Master's Program (Graduate Studies College):

The Graduate Studies College was established by a Decree issued on August 16, 1977. It is important to note that the number of accredited postgraduate programs has increased from 3 in the 1979/1980 academic year to 69 in the 2013/2014 academic year.
