Introduction:
The Graduates Affairs Department is responsible for everything related to university students and graduates, serving as the final station they go through at Kuwait University. The department provides the services and procedures associated with students' graduation, from the clearance process to receiving their university certificates, as well as supplying students with various types of certificates issued by the Deanship of Admissions and Registration. The Graduates Affairs Department is divided into three administrative sections, each with distinct responsibilities as outlined below:
Reception Section:
This section is responsible for welcoming visitors to issue all types of certificates (for those concerned and transcripts) in both Arabic and English for enrolled students, graduates, and non-enrolled students at the university. Requests can be made either in person or through the designated online page. The Reception Section also responds to official correspondence regarding students' status at Kuwait University.
Graduation Affairs Section:
The Graduation Affairs Section is responsible for printing and distributing certificates for graduating students after verifying their data, provided they have met the graduation requirements. It issues copies of transcripts received daily through the electronic system designated for university certificates or certificates for those concerned in Arabic or English and sends them outside Kuwait via express mail when necessary. This section is also the official body that responds to formal inquiries regarding the authenticity of university certificates. Additionally, it is responsible for preparing annual statistics on the number of graduates.
Graduate Activities Section:
The Graduate Activities Section handles matters related to students after their graduation from the university. Its responsibilities include issuing honorary certificates and providing copies thereof, with authentication upon request. The section responds to requests for verification of certificate authenticity for embassies and institutions when needed and coordinates with all embassies to collect honorary certificates for sponsored students. It also organizes the annual honors ceremony under the patronage of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait and the annual graduation ceremony under the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince. The section contributes to and actively participates in events related to graduates, representing Kuwait University and the Deanship of Admissions and Registration during these events. Furthermore, it prepares the annual graduate registry for all colleges and the booklet for outstanding students for the ceremony held under the patronage of His Highness the Amir. The section also updates graduates' information as necessary in cases of judicial rulings that require such action.
